There is an ocean of emotions that is intertwined in the thirteen songs that the composer and pianist Antonija Pacek, of Croatian origin but Austrian by adoption, has created and interpreted in her third, highly anticipated album, IL MARE. The album will be presented in an Italian Auditorium Parco della Musica on Sunday, Feb. 24th, at 6.30 pm in the Studio Gianni Borgna Theater.
A concert-event, which will have the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the Austrian Cultural Forum, will reflect the romantic and minimalist atmospheres that the artist has already had the opportunity to communicate with her previous works, “Soul Colors” and “Life Stories”. She shows a true passion in the way of playing and interpenetrating life through music.
The concert will be accompanied by the artistic projections on the theme of Susanna Montagna, the “painter of waves”, and the poetic interludes of the actress Daniela Cavallini.
The new compositions that Antonija will interpret live, seasoned with poetic imagination and unexplored sounds, are inspired by intimate and always current themes: the challenges to which life subjects us every day, the lasting influence of a great loss, the disappointments of friendship and the sense of forgiveness, faith and trust in one’s actions and thoughts, the balance between sadness and happiness reachable through one’s own self …
These are instrumental pieces that will surely hit the sensibilities of the listeners of every story, geography and generation and which will be integrated into the evening’s program with other successful compositions that Antonija brought together also for her international tours in Austria, Croatia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates.
The albums SOUL COLORS (2014), LIFE STORIES (2017) and IL MARE (2018) by Antonija Pacek are available on the main digital streaming and download platforms (such as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Google Music, etc.)

Born in Croatia, Antonija began piano lessons at the age of six. Since then the sound of the piano is more than love at first sight.
At the age of eleven she composed her first song, Tamed Courage, which was later included after many years in his debut album, Soul Colours.
At the age of 17 she was forced to leave her country because of the war and moved to Vienna, where she received a scholarship and graduated with honors in record time in psychology. She is admitted to the University of Cambridge to continue her studies with a master of specialization on the subject, on the theme “Investigation of Human Development”. In this period, at the age of 21, she marries the love of her life, knowing him from the time of high school. Later she became a mother of three beautiful girls.
At the University of Cambridge she began to seriously cultivate her musical passion and, since then, she has composed over 70 compositions.
At the same time she started successfully to teach psychology at various Universities of Vienna, also working as a human resources consultant for some prestigious international companies.
In 2013, she signed a contract with the Autentico Music label in Germany and published her first CD, Soul Colours, which received many positive reviews from various German newspapers and magazines. In June 2017 came the new album, Life Stories, defined by Alison Joyce as the perfect demonstration of an authentic passion in the way of playing and interpenetrating life, transmitting to the viewer a unique emotional magic.
More recent she started a collaboration with the DJ Roberto Bedross (famous for his remix of Una Mattina from Ludovico Einaudi). Roberto produced the pop single Ecstasy, sung by Barbara Kier and was soon positioned in the top 6 of EDM charts in Poland. In December 2018, Antonija released her newest album, IL MARE, focused on sentimental retrospection and nature of her most poetic soul, which will be brought live and interpreted as world premiere in Vienna on February 22nd, 2019 and in Italian premiere in Rome on 24th of the same month.
